Husband and wife team, Kathy and Gary Wheatley, started their company in 1980. Kathy Wheatley's degree in Business Administration creates strong leadership for Wheatley Associates. Les Cunningham, CR, CGR, and past president of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) has called Gary and Kathy "one of the best teams in the industry." In fact, Wheatley Associates was named one of the "Top 50" remodelers in the country in 1992 by industry leader REMODELING Magazine, and was one of only three winning for "Teamwork."

Building and maintaining staff and a team of subcontractors has been successful due in part to Kathy's instincts. After the customary screening process, Kathy talks further with the potential hire. Believing that skills can be learned and improved upon, but the heart cannot, she seeks those individuals who live by one of the company's core values, the Golden Rule.
